Originally operating as separate businesses, Barcam Electrical and Barcam Commercial were merged in 2014.
About
Barcam Electrical Service has a long and prestigious history with the Mackay region. Started in 1957 by Chook and Alice Bartolo, Barcam has always had a family feel. This sentiment is something which has carried the business through to today where they now employ 30 Mackay locals, a number of whom are generational staff.
Since opening our doors, we have always provided domestic and small-scale commercial electrical installation and repairs. In 2006 our commercial work grew to a size where we decided to create an umbrella company, Barcam Commercial. Through this avenue we were able to provide specialised commercial and industrial electrical work for our clients. Some of these larger jobs included sports field lighting and shopping complexes as well as construction solutions for commercial and industrial builds. All the while, our domestic division still provided solutions for our regular non-commercial clientele.
The two divisions merged in 2014 to become Barcam Electrical Service as it is today.
Barcam Electrical Service prides itself on dependable, quality service. This work ethic has been recognised and praised, with the business and a number of Barcam Electrical staff regularly nominated for industry awards, such as Master Electrician of the Year and Apprentice of the Year.
Barcam’s standard of excellence is engrained in our staff from the moment they join the team. Our electricians are continually learning to ensure that each job is completed to above industry standards. Thanks to our independent training advisors, all of our tradesman and apprentices are meeting all safety standards. We conduct monthly safety checks and appraisals of our staff to ensure that we are meeting all legislative requirements.
At Barcam Electrical Service, our point of difference is our refreshing mix of innovation and tradition. We provide old-fashioned, personal service for all of our clients while also utilising the latest technology to ensure that our service is efficient and cost-effective. All of our team members receive regular training so that everyone from our Master Electricians to our office administration staff can provide advice to our clients. Our quality assurance checks and audits ensure that there are no chinks in our service armour.
We pride ourselves on supporting quality local businesses which is why we maintain a constant connection with other Mackay-based trades. In doing this, our clients know they can call us, and we will refer them to only those tradesmen whom we know, like and trust.
